Real Stories Deserve a Stage!

Whether it was a fleeting glimpse in the Everglades or a life-changing encounter, we provide the platform to share your experience with a community that listens.

The Florida Skunk Ape: From Firsthand Sightings to Focused Discussion

The Florida Everglades and the deep cypress swamps of the Sunshine State hold secrets that many have seen but few can explain. Whether you’ve had a fleeting, heart-pounding encounter in the brush or you have dedicated years to studying the patterns and footprints of the elusive Skunk Ape, your perspective is a vital piece of the puzzle. At the Great Florida Bigfoot Conference, we believe that every story matters—from the unexpected witness to the seasoned researcher—and we provide the premier platform to bring those experiences out of the shadows and onto the main stage.

We are currently looking for participants to join us in two distinct ways: our Encounters segment and our Skunk Ape Roundtable. If you have a personal sighting to share, our “Encounters” sessions allow you to tell your story and show your evidence to a captivated audience in a raw, authentic format. For those who prefer a more organized, collaborative environment, our “Roundtable” brings together individuals for a structured discussion on sightings, evidence, and the regional mysteries of the Skunk Ape. Explore the options below to see where your experience fits best and help us document the truth of what is roaming the Florida wilderness.

The Skunk Ape Roundtable | Regional Research Update

What’s happening in our swamps right now? The “Skunk Ape Roundtable” is a curated, moderated session featuring the people who spend their lives in the Florida wilderness searching for the unexplained. This is not a formal lecture; it is a “boots-on-the-ground” update designed to give our attendees a firsthand look at what local researchers have found over the past year.

We are looking for Florida’s active field researchers. To be considered for one of our 3–5 roundtable seats, we are looking for individuals (or group representatives) who are consistently in the woods, tracking evidence, and documenting activity. If you have a body of work from the last 12 months—whether it’s new track finds, audio recordings, or habitat observations—we want to hear from you.

      How to Apply:

      • The Profile: Ideal candidates are active investigators with recent evidence or sightings to discuss.

      • The Format: This is a moderated panel. You should be comfortable discussing your recent findings in a conversational group setting and answering questions from the moderator.

      • Selection: Because we only host 3–5 researchers per year, we select participants based on the consistency of their fieldwork and the relevance of their recent findings.

      • Requirement: You must be a confirmed ticket holder to be eligible for the panel.
